So… 2.5 year old recently decided she has some opinions about what she eats.   I blame her older brother.  She was into eating ANYTHING until she got old enough to notice her big brother making some pretty big demands at mealtime.

“I’m not eating that.”


“NO onions MOM, that’s an ONION!”

“I want it PLAIN!”

You get the picture.  Can any of you relate?

In all reality my kids eat pretty well but they certainly won’t eat just ANYTHING I put on the table so I usually try to put some thought into what’s for dinner (or breakfast, or lunch, or snack).  I’m not a short order chef, so what I serve for dinner IS DINNER.  OK, full disclosure: I have been known to cave and give them a banana and a few almonds before bed because I can’t stand to think of my poor babies STARVING at night, and I figure if they are hungry enough to eat a banana and almonds…then go for it.  But at the dinner table, what’s served is served.

I try to offer one thing I know they both like, but honestly even that gets tricky with two kids.  So this week I asked some of my favorite bloggers and mamas to give me their favorite recipes for picky eaters.  I know I’m not alone in my quest to find new and yummy recipes for my kids and I thought I would share them here on Kula Mama for all of you.  What would you add to this list??
