Healthy Fats

Monounsaturated fats:

  • Olive oil
  • Almond oil
  • Avocado
  • Most nuts (eat raw or soaked overnight)
  • Peanut oil
  • Rice oil

Polyunsaturated fats:

  • Essential fatty acids (borage, flaxseed, primrose). Do not cook with these oils!
  • Sesame oil
  • Wheat germ oil
  • Corn oil
  • Cottonseed oil
  • Safflower oil
  • Soybean oil
  • Sunflower oil

Saturated fats (use sparingly):

  • Ghee (clarified butter)
  • Extra virgin, cold pressed, Coconut oil
